About Us

The Selby Folk Club has been meeting on the first Friday of every month (except January) since 1978.

The aim of the club has always been the same:

  • encourage local musicians by providing a supportive atmosphere to perform
  • encourage locals  to come and hear live acoustic music

The evening kicks off with spot acts from the audience. If you’re interested in sharing a couple of songs, let David or Alex know when you arrive as places are limited. A support act follows,  then the invited feature artist closes the evening.

Supper is provided for a gold coin donation and includes mulled wine, tea, coffee and cakes.

Selby Folk Club is run by a bunch of dedicated volunteers.
