DESCRIPTION:Chris Cobern photography \nCate Taylor is an award winning\, indie-folk/alt-country singer songwriter from Melbourne who has worked with a swathe of talented musicians including Justin Brady\, Matthew Arnold\, Nina Rose\, Greg Hamilton and Ben Franz. \nCate’s music is rich\, natural and grounded in resonant\, spacious lyrics with a performance style that is authentic and engaging. Her songs reflect social\, personal and environmental themes moving between raw\, sparce arrangements to fuller compositions. \nHer debut album\, Red Dirt\, released in October 2019\, features some of Melbourne’s finest musicians including David Bridie on piano\, Nina Rose on vocal harmonies\, John Beddgood on mandolin and fiddle and Nicola Bell on drums. Launched to a sold out show at The Wesley Anne in March\, 2020. Red Dirt received a 4 star review from Divide and Conquer. \nCate has performed at venues and festivals such as The Brunswick Ballroom\, The Palais Hepburn\, Thornbury Theatre\, Merri Creek Tavern\, The Selby Folk Club\, The Kindred Bandroom\, Gemco Theatre\, The Wesley Anne\, POME\, The Castlemaine Taproom\, Maldon Folk Festival\, Wesfest and Keep It Live. \nCate will be releasing her second album in early 2024 and is currently performing in regional Australia and inner Melbourne venues as well as embarking on various collaborative projects with other songwriters and musicians. \n \n  \nGabrielle Parker\n \nGabrielle Parker seeks out the knot in the pit of your stomach with her emotionally wrought lyrics and gently untangles it with her chamomile voice. \nBased in Melbourne\, the aspiring writer has been dipping her toes in the world of folk-country\, taking inspiration from the likes of Julia Jacklin\, Leonard Cohen and Gregory Alan Isakov. \nGabrielle carves out a world of her own in the space of 4 minutes\, leaving a lasting languish on your soul. \n  \nTICKETS HERE
