Josh Light & The Unfurling and Bec Sykes

Our first SFC for 2025 is a lush double header, with both Josh Light & The Unfurling and Bec Sykes playing full sets.

Josh Licht has assembled a very special collective called ‘The Unfurling’. Each member is widely respected in their own right. ‘The Unfurling’ members are Tanya Bradley – Violin. Corey Romeo – Mandolin and Mandola and Christian Meyer – Electric and Acoustic Guitar. Fused with Josh’s timeless songs, ‘ Josh Light and The Unfurling’ create some timeless musical magic to be sure…to be sure.

In the outer suburbs of Naarm/Melbourne, Bec Sykes has been quietly crafting something beautiful. Her very first album – Pepperpot Magic. Made alongside Robert Muiños, the record is effortlessly infused with Australiana. With this album, Bec Sykes invites the listener into her world. It is warm, inviting, and feels like letting out some deep breath you have held for far, far too long.
