Saoirse

Since coming together in 2006 this dynamic quartet have firmly established themselves as one of Melbourne’s premier Celtic/Folk bands. Although their roots are based in traditional Irish music, Saoirse sing in Irish and English and harmonize beautifully in any language and are continually evolving and expanding their world music component. With the addition of their own material they strive to bring something unique to every performance. Saoirse will give an audience a little bit off everything, heart wrenching love songs, beautiful ballads, hand clapping toe tapping jig’s and reel’s and even some Irish step dancing to get the place jumping.

The band includes Bernadette O’Neill on bodhran and vocals, Kerry McManus on Accordion, whistle and vocals, Sile Coleman on guitar and vocals and Anthony O’Neill on guitar and fiddle.
