The Humbuckin’ Pickups

The Humbuckin’ Pickups’ roots drenched folk sound is filled with imagery of rural and regional Australia. Wielding guitars, dobros, banjos, double bass and mandolins, the quartet will draw you in with their love of storytelling through music, their humour and their four-part harmonies.

Their high-energy performances and clean, acoustic dextrous musicianship, balanced with flawless vocal harmonies earned them the 2021 Troubadour Foundation and Maldon Minstrel Awards.

The Humbuckin’ Pickups are touring their new album in 2023, ‘Just Like Winter’. At times gentle and conversational, at times raucous and wild, it’s an unadorned showcase of front man Ewan Cloonan’s award-winning song writing – with debut songwriting and lead vocals from both Trevor Dwyer and Vinny Russell.
